The health visitors provide advice on all aspects of health. They work mainly with families with young children and expectant mothers. They will also help to put you in touch with other agencies and services you may need.
The midwives provide care on all aspects of pregnancy, childbirth and postnatal care. If you are pregnant you may contact a midwife directly on 01834 861581 between 9 am - 10.30 am, Monday - Friday.

If your message is urgent or outside these hours please contact the Doctor on 01834 860237 who will pass a message on to the nurse on call. The district nurses will undertake a full nursing assessment for housebound people in their own homes. The district nurses aim to provide skilled nursing treatment and care that will promote health and maintain independence in the community. They will provide care and advice to patients, families and carers in a confidential manner respecting rights, beliefs and lifestyle.
The psychiatric nurse provides support, assessment, and monitoring of elderly patients with psychiatric problems in the community. A referral is usually through the Doctor.
Podiatry (Chiropody) clinics are held regularly. People of all ages may be treated and referral is usually through the doctor.
